The seven steps

Use this route as a practical guide: where to start, what to learn, and how it grows inside Esports Nederland.

1

Watch

Learn to read matches

You actively watch pace, economy, momentum, player roles, and key moments.

Example

Example: replaying a highlight and explaining why it mattered.

2

Analyze

Translate game knowledge into language

You practice clear explanations so viewers understand without jargon overload.

Example

Example: explaining in 30 seconds why an eco round is exciting.

3

Community cup

Start small and reliable

Community cups are ideal to build rhythm, test setup, and collect feedback.

Example

Example: casting an online Rocket League final on Twitch.

4

Demo reel

Build a portfolio

You cut your best moments into a short reel with play-by-play, analysis, and interview clips.

Example

Example: a 90-second reel with three different games.

5

Event

Learn live collaboration

On-site you work with production, hosts, players, and schedules. Timing and calm matter as much as energy.

Example

Example: preparing interviews for a LAN final.

6

Duo-cast

Work in roles

A duo cast divides play-by-play and analysis. You learn to make room and support each other.

Example

Example: finding a regular co-caster for CS2 cups.

7

National

Represent the Dutch scene

At national level you help make stories, talent, and competitions visible to audiences and partners.

Example

Example: a national broadcast around a game working group or final.
