The seven steps

Use this route as a practical guide: where to start, what to learn, and how it grows inside Esports Nederland.

1

Apply

Make your interest concrete

Choose which game, region, or task fits you so communities can place you well.

Example

Example: indicating you want to help events in Noord-Brabant.

2

Discord

Get to know the community

You observe conversations, rules, FAQs, and group tone.

Example

Example: welcoming new members and pointing them in the right direction.

3

Moderation

Protect safety and tone

Moderation requires clarity, calm, and consistency. You help make participation safe.

Example

Example: enforcing rules around toxic behavior.

4

Crew

Help execution

At events you support check-in, brackets, socials, stream, tech, or hospitality.

Example

Example: welcoming teams at a local LAN.

5

Working group

Work structurally on a game

In a working group you help build calendar, rules, content, and community growth per game.

Example

Example: supporting Counter-Strike Nederland with media or events.

6

Lead

Take ownership

A lead protects planning, tasks, and communication between volunteers, players, and board.

Example

Example: organizing a monthly meeting for event volunteers.

7

Board

Help govern the structure

With experience you can grow into governance roles focused on policy, partners, and continuity.

Example

Example: setting up volunteer policy across multiple games.
